These false prophecies have overthrown the very faith of many people. For me, it had the opposite effect as I can now see that Jesus and His apostles spoke about and warned us about these very people. They said, stay away. The WT fulfills prophecy all right. Just not how we thought.
Too bad I didnt know that then. Glad I do now though.

I feel for you. I was stuck in my head too. That's the thing about this cult.. how often things were repeated and drilled into our brains via rote learning complete with their magazine visuals to further cement your brain.
Then when it flops- it's not their fault. and shut up about it!
I recall many many years on the back of every Awake magazine reading the signature, CREATORS PROMISE!!

Hi there. I dunno but this thread was abouta conversation with my JW sister and my JW father who died. The conversation was quite an eye opener for me as I had no idea Jws teach that our death is atoning.

I've already told you that they are owned BY the WATCHTOWER. They have links to sites who are selling the publications. While it may be legal due to copyright laws- it is certainly NOT ok for Jws to mix with apostates or is it? I dont know what it is that you are not comprehending.

Yes ok. As we see from the above WT quotes that is the teaching. Crazy huh? I suppose that SOMETHING had to be made up by the WT to teach about Ro 6:7 to the r &f since they deny them the gift of being born again. Once agin they seem to counting on the JW not ever reading this verse in context. How sad this is?

the insertion of jehovah into the nt is only understandable to me if there was an ot quote.
however by far the vast majority of the time this is not the case.
instead we see clear bias in the nwt.
One thing about the NT insertion of Jehovah is the J-notes. Very hypocritical bias using those!
